2 hours. Provides a retreat experience of historic and contemporary spiritual formation principles in Christianity, as applied to the life of the counselor. Explores the spiritual disciplines as the basis for spiritual formation, taking into account individual differences that influence the practice of the spiritual disciplines. Examines the relationship between lifestyle and the practice of the spiritual disciplines, including the influence of psychological issues upon lifestyle choices. Course content ultimately designed to apply the skills for facilitating spiritual formation in counseling.
