Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the library of Richmont Graduate University! The Richmont Library consists of two physical branches, one at each of the Chattanooga and Atlanta Richmont Campuses, as well as an extensive collection of online resources.

This guide is meant to serve as your introduction to a few of the many library resources available to you as students of Richmont Graduate University, from physical and electronic books, to databases of peer-reviewed research, to streaming videos, to personalized research support. Simply navigate through the tabs on the page to learn more about all the resources we offer. Alternately, you may watch the video walk-through below to get a sense of how to navigate some of the primary library resources.

This video contains a brief, 15-minute introduction to using some of the Richmont Library Resources. We recommend you start your library orientation by watching this video so that you can get a sense of how to navigate our online platforms, how to request an item via Inter-Library Loan, and what we offer through our numerous course guides.

We are located at the Richmont Atlanta Campus at 1900 The Exchange SE, Building 100, Atlanta, GA 30339,

Our regular business hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 5 pm.

Come by in-person during business hours, give us a call at (404) 835-6137, or email one of your friendly librarians at libraries@richmont.edu, and we will happily send you what you need, either through the mail or by electronic scan.

Tess has worked at the Richmont Atlanta Library since November 2020 and was promoted to Research and Archives Librarian after earning her Master of Library and Information Science Degree and Graduate Certificate in Archival Studies from Louisiana State University in May 2022. She also earned a Master of Arts Degree in Literature from Georgia College & State University in 2016. Her duties include conducting research assistance services for students and faculty, completing interlibrary loans, maintaining Richmont's university archives, teaching the fall section of Introduction to Graduate Writing Skills, and cataloging new materials for the Atlanta library. She lives in Marietta with her husband Chris, their dog Tilly, and their cats Marty, Stanley, and Benny. When she's not working, she's usually reading, cooking, napping, or listening to a true crime podcast.

Will Jones has worked in the Richmont Libraries since Summer of 2021, and has served as technical services librarian since 2022. His duties include purchasing, collections development, inter-library loan, and the maintenance of the various online library platforms. He also teaches one section of the Graduate Writing course, and regularly meets with students to refine their written work. He lives in Chattanooga with his wife, Juliet, two children, and dog, and spends his free time hiking, reading, baking, and working as a naturalist at a local nature center and native plant nursery.

Ann has worked at the Chattanooga Richmont Library since July 2023, after working for 20 years as a school librarian. Her duties include helping library patrons find the resources they need, including requesting items through inter-library loan, as well as maintaining the physical collection and assisting the librarians. She lives in Chattanooga with her husband and enjoys reading, hiking, sewing and gardening.
